Somerset Farm's Cimmaron Kid

ARI: 31105385

DOB: 4/5/08

Color: Medium Fawn

Dam: Heart of the Mountain Gabriella (ARI: 830142)

Sire: PHA Maximus (ARI: 830927)

My, oh my...this guy hit the ground running and has never looked back! He exudes presence and attitude...translated, he seems sure he is pretty hot stuff.  When he does stand still we can see that his legs are straight, his top line flat, he is well-balanced, and he has good fiber coverage.  When we get our hands on his fiber we find the bundling characteristics of his sire.

Cimmaron's sire, PHA Maximus (Camilio and Peruvian Duchess) has done very well in the show ring and has several progeny now earning ribbons. Cimmaron's 1/2 sister Dekana's Chinooki out of his dam Heart of the Mountain Gabriella, took a first place in medium brown (class of 6) at the 2006 AlpacaMania show.

When you get a male you find yourself asking "I wonder if he has a future as a herdsire?"  As usual, the jury is out on this guy....unless of course you ask him!

Somerset Farm's Sweet Caroline

ARI: 31105392

DOB: 8/12/08

Color: Medium Fawn

Dam: Dekana's Chinooki (ARI: 30038060)

Sire: CF Cuzco (ARI: 1100259)

This little charmer fits her name perfectly...what a sweet girl.  Caroline is exhibiting the same very fine fleece characteristics of her 1/2 brother, by the same sire, CF Cuzco.  Cuzco is white and is two for two in producing color from colored dams.

Update: Caroline is developing into quite a young lady.  Her fiber is beginning to develop some very nice crimp character and is maintaining it's brightness.  Her conformation is extremely correct and she carries herself with a great deal of "presence."  She has developed quite a bit of coverage on her face which accents her black points even more.

Caroline received a 5th place ribbon in a halter class at the California Classic in April, 2009

Color: White

Dam: ST Angel (ARI:839995 )

Sire: Followill Emilio (ARI:842819 )

Angel and Emilio did it again...another outstanding female.  That makes 3 females in a row for Angel and 9 out of 10 female cria for Emilio!!  This full sister to Matina May is another one of Angel's cria with solid bone and great conformation for a youngster.

Felicity is following in her older sisters' footsteps.....Big, Bold, and Beautiful!

This petite (13.1 lbs birth weight) little girl is the 1/2 sister to Sweet Caroline.  Take a look at those straight legs at 48 hours old!  She is the third cria sired by CF Cuzco and is exhibiting the same bright and fine fleece he has been passing along.
